What is collected

Sampled has no accounts, no sign-in and no user-submitted content. No cookies are set and nothing is written to local storage.

If analytics are enabled on this deployment they are anonymous and cookieless: aggregate page views plus a handful of interaction counts: which category was opened, which sample was opened, whether audio was played, whether a download was started. Those events carry a category or sample identifier and nothing else. No IP addresses are stored, the browser is not fingerprinted, and no advertising or third-party tracking scripts are loaded on any page.

Audio requests

Samples stream from Freesound. Pressing play makes your browser request a file from them, and they will see your IP address and user agent as part of serving it. Their handling of that is governed by their own policy.

Waveforms are drawn from data built into the page, so browsing makes no outbound request until you press play. Downloads are proxied through this site, so Freesound sees the server, not you.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have rights of access, rectification and erasure over personal data held about you. No personal data is held about you here, so there is nothing to retrieve or delete. This statement is the disclosure.
